UFC on FOX 2 Predictions

UFC on FOX 2.. can’t wait for this Event…. Picks:
Mr. Wonderful over Evans… just cause based on the fact that the whole universe is against Rashaads chance to get another title shot, and that he is training with the Blackzillians who managed to send in Rumble Johnson overweight when he moved up a weight class. Phil Davis by 4th round submission.

Usually I would say Bisping, just cause he is from the EU, but it’s Bisping, and Sonnen’s antics are far too much fun to ignore them, so I really want to watch him face off against Mr. Silva in Brazil. Sonnen by decision.

Demian Maia takes on up and coming hotshot Chris Weidman in what will be one of those fights where experience meets a force of nature. I like Maia’s chances as he improves his game with consistency, has a slick submission game and can’t be called a slouch on his feet anymore. Maia by submission.

Michael Johnson will probably lose vs Shane Roller, based on the fact, that he trains with the same team like Rashaad, and they have to prove me right that their fighters have to gameplan to win. Even though their training footage looks amazing and I would never want to face them in the cage myself 🙂 Shane Roller is a submission specialist, and Johnson is a wrestler, so we will see how this works out. Roller by submission.

Charles Oliveira is bound to win vs. Eric Wisely, as he was once the next big thing from Brazil and Wisely was wisely chose to be an opponent he can beat. After all Oliveria has only two losses, both of them coming against people who were one fight away from being title contenders.

I have to go with the European in the fight between Mike Russow and John-Olav Einemo, but this could go both ways. Einemo by submission.

Evan Dunham will face of against last minute replacement Nik Lentz. Dunham, once a huge prospect lost two of his last 3 fights and can always squeeze out a win. Both have their strengths on the ground and have most wins by submission, which will either result in one of them being far better on the ground and dominating the other, or a mediocre stand up war. Lentz should have the better standup and takedowns, so he will probably take this by either submission or decision.
