It makes the white text too hard to read. Try reduce the transparency. You want people to read your content instead looking at your background all the time. Other idea will be randomly changing your background once a while (weekly or monthly) using the same background but different color tone. Ex. Orange, Purple. Just my 2 cents. Back to your blog. I really like the dark blue background. The only thing bothering me is the transparency. It makes the white text too hard to read. Try reduce the transparency. You want people to read your content instead looking at your background all the time.
