This theme is just running since the middle of april, so I finally took the time to even out a few bugs. You can’t do that fast enough. It’s just 8 months and no one complainded, which just underlines that there are only people trying to get their link on my site when they post their comments.
Content related changes hit the info text on the right side, the subheadline (that is not even displayed on this site as I did not incorporate the call in the design, but hey, never judge a book by it’s cover 
) and furthermore I reduced the titel to “living in svensworld”, as this is what the blog is all about.
The comments had no background, so they were kinda hard to read, I changed the commenting policy, so you can still post comments on recent posts, but you can’t post comment on posts older than 14 days. Happy time. I added a different, even more in the face than before introduction to the comments. Maybe some people will take time to read it before they attempt to spam. Still I really enjoy deleting the hand written spam, as it takes more time for them writing it than for me deleting.
You can always tweak and rework a site until you have enough, but after all this design is still lovely. *patting my own shoulder* The only improvement that is on sight for this blog is a higher posting frequency. Which will do more than any redesign could do.
It is insane.
This blog recieves very little traffic. Roughly 200 visitors, and it says no keyword in the comments, which should at least tell you that I don’t like spam and take care of this site, as comments are not FFA and moderated.
It’s funny, my other sites, that have more traffic and content, do not recieve this amount of comment spam. I really wonder why this is happening to good old svensworld. Is it that the topics are spam worthy? Or that the domain is very old and people want to get backlinks from it?
Anyways, to all the people who want to push their sites: Do what you have to do, I have no problem with deleting.
In other words, keep on wasting your time.
It was about time, after 3 years of blogging svensworld jumped the plank. It’s amazing how good it feels to remove junk, it frees your mind.
svensworld is a place to share thoughts, findings and tough love. But it’s been like that before or not? Utterly wrong, before this tablua raza it’s been about nothing useful at all. To make a long story short, everything that crosses Sven’s life and is interesting enough to be passed over to tzeh readerz of this blog.
The fresh start did not only restart the whole content of this blog, moreover it refreshes the design and gives it a new groove.
Hearing those voices in the back of the room asking, was that a smart move to make? You will be punished by the almighty google! You will lose your readers! Seriously, this page has a pagerank of 2, which already is a joke and to be honest, which readers? There are almost no readers left besides the spammers posting their keyword stuffed links on a nofollow blog and the occasional friend passing by. To answer the question:
yes it is a smart move to make.
